Welcome back students, parents and staff, and a very special welcome to the new students, families, administrators and staff in our school communities. I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful summer with family and friends.
As we begin another exciting year in Catholic education, I look forward to working with together with parents and staff to make this school year a success for all students.
Publicly-funded Catholic Education is important. Parents, I encourage you to please check your Property Assessment information to make sure that you are a Separate School Supporter, as this demonstrates to the government your support of our publicly funded Catholic schools. Check today by calling the Municipal Property Assessment Office at 1-866-296-6722, or visit their website at www.mpac.ca. You can also get an Application for Direction of School Support by calling the York Catholic District School Board Admissions Office at 905-713-2711, ext. 12451 or 12453, or by visiting our website at www.ycdsb.ca.
As school resumes, a gentle reminder to all drivers to adjust your speed and watch out for children so that we can keep our communities safe.
I also extend an invitation to the Parkinsonís SuperWalk which takes place on Sunday September 10th at 9:00 am at the City of Vaughan. More information is available at: www.parkinsonsuperwalk.ca
To our students, I wish you a happy and successful school year! It is my hope that you will have a fantastic school year and that you will accomplish all your goals.
May the Holy Spirit guide you during this school year, and may you always feel the love of Jesus Christ.
